Manufacturing Day Event Hosted by MicroGroup Inc.

Event to Expand Your Knowledge of Precision Manufacturing and Spotlight Manufacturing Career Opportunities

In celebration of Manufacturing Day 2016, MicroGroup will open its doors to students from high school to college as part of an effort to spotlight today’s manufacturing environment and draw attention to the outstanding opportunities that a career in manufacturing can provide. Planned activities include facility tours, panel discussions, demonstrations, and Q&A sessions.

Manufacturing Day is an annual national event executed at the local level, supported by thousands of manufactures as they host students, teachers, parents, job seekers and other local community members at open houses, plant tours and presentations designed to showcase modern manufacturing technologies and careers.

“We want to showcase the opportunities for rewarding careers within today’s production environments.” A generation of skilled manufacturing workers will soon be exiting the workforce and the manufacturing skills of those entering the workforce will not be sufficient to replace them. The solution is through a combined effort of education, industry and government.
– Dale Stone, HR Director, MicroGroup Inc.
